IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT COVID-19 TO ALL OUR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES
We understand that, in these exceptional circumstances, it is time to act responsibly and strictly follow the instructions of the competent authorities in order to ensure the health and safety of all our patients and the staff at our clinics. Only in this way can we all work together to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
For reasons of protection and collective safety, ophthalmological care will be restricted to cases of greatest need, as detailed below:
At Clínica Salvà, ONLY the following will be treated:
- Ophthalmic emergencies.
Any patient with a possible eye condition who is experiencing pain, decreased vision, or has suffered an eye accident should/can visit our Emergency Department at Clínica Salvà with complete peace of mind, as we have taken extreme biosecurity measures that have been in place for several days.
For better service planning, we request your cooperation and ask that you make your emergency appointment by phone (Tel. 971 730 055) before coming to Clínica Salvà.
- Surgeries that, due to their urgent or serious nature, are unavoidable.
- Consultations with post-operative patients.
- Patients who require continuous monitoring or follow-up due to the type of eye condition they have.
At the Laserclinic polyclinic (Manacor), in-person consultations will be available all day on Wednesdays.
At Muro Hospital, there will be in-person consultations on Thursday afternoons.
Ophthalmological care at Consultas Médicas Juaneda Inca, the Medical Specialties Center (CEM) in Llucmajor, and the Mapfre Medical Center has been suspended.
All patients whose appointments and/or surgeries scheduled for March have been affected by these extraordinary cancellation measures will be contacted as soon as possible to reschedule them for later dates, until this situation returns to normal.
To resolve any questions or make a remote medical consultation about possible eye problems, patients can use our telephone service between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
These measures will be adopted starting Monday, March 16, and will remain in effect provisionally until March 30, without ruling out the possibility of extending them.
We will keep you informed of any relevant developments that could modify these measures, as well as the return to normal activity when the optimal conditions for this to occur are met.
All the staff at Oftalmedic Salvà would like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding and invite you to join in the preventive measures to stop the spread of coronavirus: “Stop Covid-19.”
