Safety and hygiene protocol for the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus.

PROCEDURES

• We space out the visiting hours.
• We follow a strict hand hygiene protocol before and after each consultation.
• We use approved PPE during the entire ophthalmologic care service.
• We disinfect between patients, instruments and contact surfaces in the office and during tests performed by optometrists.
• We take extreme care in the cleaning and disinfection of common areas.
• We intensified cleaning and disinfection protocols for access to the surgical area by authorized personnel, as well as sterilization of all materials and contact surfaces.

FACILITIES

• We provide hydroalcoholic gel.
• We maintain the safety distance in the reception area and waiting rooms between seats.
• We have redistributed the waiting rooms to limit the number of people.
• We have set up containers for disposable material.
• We have protective structures in the Reception area.
• We use protective screens on the diagnostic equipment in our offices during eye examinations.
• We have ozone generator equipment for a better environmental disinfection.
• We have removed magazines or informational brochures from the waiting rooms to minimize contacts.

• Avoid coming in advance for a better control of the capacity.
• Preferably, go to the consultation without an accompanying person. If this is not possible, try to have only one person accompany you.
• In case of presenting symptoms or having been in contact with patients diagnosed with COVID-19, it is recommended that you inform the center for a change of appointment.
