However, prevention is essential to ensure better treatment and prognosis of vision pathologies. For this reason, it is advisable to go to the specialist for a regular <strong>ophthalmological check-up<\/strong> . In fact, the increase in life expectancy and the ageing of the population contribute to its increasing prevalence. It is also the leading cause of <strong>visual impairment<\/strong> in the world.
