In this regard, it is advisable to undergo regular check-ups from the age of 50 onwards. The aim is to detect cataracts at an early stage and thus determine the optimal time for surgery based on their degree of progression.  <\/p>\n<p>If cataracts are not treated within a reasonable period of time, there is a risk that they will harden excessively. This can make surgery more difficult and compromise the results obtained.
