We currently offer two types of laser technique
1. Lasik technique with excimer laser and microkeratome
First, a flap of the tissue is made with the microkeratome that allows access to the middle layer of the cornea. The excimer laser then acts on this layer to shape it and thus correct the refraction or prescription of the eye. Finally, the flap is put back in place as if it were a natural dressing, without the need for stitches.
This technique is especially indicated for patients with a good corneal thickness, without a history of dry eye disease, and without any previous corneal disease.
2. FemtoLasik technique with excimer laser and femtosecond laser
First, a flap of the tissue is made with the femtosecond laser that allows access to the middle layer of the cornea. The excimer laser then acts on this layer to shape it and thus correct the refraction or prescription of the eye. Finally, the flap is put back in place as if it were a natural dressing, without the need for stitches.

In the case of laser refractive surgery, thanks to the Smart Operating Room, the diagnostic equipment (Allegro Topolyzer topographer) obtains and provides information about the exact shape of each patient’s eye and automatically connects with the laser that reshapes the cornea (Excimer Allegretto laser), sending the information collected so that, together with the femtosecond laser (Intralase), they can act in a completely personalized way and correct the vision of people with myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism or eyestrain. It is a 100% laser surgery, thus avoiding the use of blades.
This technology is unique in the Balearic Islands and provides greater precision and absolute personalisation to these interventions.
