Optometry
Our team of medical and healthcare professionals specialises in the different areas of ophthalmology and works together and in coordination with the Department of Optometry, with the aim of addressing the patient’s eye pathologies from a multidisciplinary approach. In fact, collaboration between ophthalmologists and opticians-optometrists is essential for the provision of comprehensive ophthalmological care that guarantees rigorous quality in the care of your vision.
At present, the level of specialisation achieved by ophthalmology requires that the action of both professionals be complementary, so that the ophthalmologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating and preventing problems that affect the vision system from a global perspective, and the optometrist, for measuring the patient’s visual quality and establishing the optical correction (mainly glasses or contact lenses) that best resolves their visual deficit.
