Main pathologies of
retina and vitreous
Retinal pathologies must be detected early to increase the chances of success of available treatments. This early diagnosis is especially important in the case of degenerative diseases such as AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Prevention also plays a fundamental role in patients at risk of retinal detachment. In fact, urgent attention should be given when initial symptoms are present.
Loss of visual acuity, floaters or flashes, among other signs, may alert of a possible retinal pathology. If not treated in time, the patient’s vision could be seriously compromised, even causing blindness.
