Dark circles
Dark circles are an alteration in the color of the skin under the eyes, due to excessive melanin production and constriction of blood vessels. Factors such as tiredness, high sun exposure or an unbalanced diet can cause or worsen dark circles, but in general the main trigger is genetic.
In these cases, it is possible to improve the appearance of dark circles thanks to the injection of hyaluronic acid filler.
Dark circles treatment
The injection of hyaluronic acid filler for dark circles is a novel treatment to rejuvenate the face without resorting to surgery. This technique reduces the tear groove and depression known as “dark circles” through the infiltration of a long-lasting filler, which evens out the volume of the dark circles area and evens out their tone, eliminating the appearance of tiredness in the eyes.
The effects of hyaluronic acid are immediately visible. However, the injected substance is resorbable, so its effects disappear after approximately nine or ten months. The procedure is performed in about 15 minutes, under topical anesthesia in the form of a cream (the injected product also contains anesthetic). During recovery, local edema and small bruising at the injection site may occur, which resolve within a few days.
