Our projects

Since our launch in 1998, we have promoted various eye health projects at the local level (Mallorca) and we have collaborated with different international cooperation entities to carry out care and surgical campaigns in Africa and Latin America. Our action programmes are always developed under the premise of sustainability over time, as we do not pursue immediate action, but rather we are committed to its durability.

We believe that when we help a person to solve their vision problem we are contributing, even indirectly, to providing greater well-being, but also to modifying the living conditions of the community to which they belong, offering them new reasons for illusion and hope. For this reason, our commitment to the areas where we provide our help is maximum.

Local projects

The accompaniment work carried out by the local entities with which we have collaboration agreements is essential for our work, due to their prior knowledge of the context in which they operate and the existing problems and their potential when it comes to promoting processes of social change that benefit the living conditions of the people and groups they serve.

A LOCAL LOOK

It is a stable ophthalmological and optometric care program aimed at the most vulnerable groups in Mallorca, who lack economic resources and have difficulties in health coverage.

Based on the collaboration agreement we have with the Oftalmedic Salvà group, all the patients we refer to them are treated according to the same standards of medical and care quality as any other patient.

International cooperation

In addition to developing our solidarity work locally, we extend this work beyond our natural environment (Mallorca), through eye health projects in Third World countries integrated in the “An international perspective” program, since international cooperation is a high priority line of action within our objectives.

We are aware of the importance of optimal visual health, and for this reason, we are moving to the poorest countries in the world where the lack of health resources is a determining factor in the visual impairments they suffer, many of them avoidable.

This task requires the involvement of highly qualified medical and health personnel, with the ability to solve complex problems, as well as continuous effort, since we have in our hands the opportunity to completely change a person’s life in a few minutes and offer them a better future.
